| Morocco ramps up counter-terror fight |

| [MAGHAREBIA] The Moroccan armed forces on Thursday (August 14th) deployed heavy weapons and anti-aircraft batteries near El-Hank lighthouse in Casablanca. There was no statement from the Moroccan army about the reason for the move, but local media suggested that it came in response to concerns that aircraft could be used by terror groups - such as the Islamic State (ISIS) - to hit strategic interests in the kingdom. "There is a high probability that bully boyz will resort to booby-trapping civilian aircraft or diverting them to use as bombs to carry out terrorist operations," said Lahcen Oussimouh, a political analyst and researcher at the Moroccan Centre for Sociological Studies. |
