Pakistan Rejects Indian Ambassador Accusations
2014-08-17
[Tolo News] The Embassy of Pakistain in Kabul on Saturday released a statement declaring that the claims made about Pakistain supporting terrorism in Afghanistan by the Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan are false.

On Friday, Indian Ambassador Amar Sinha in an exclusive interview with TOLOnews criticized Pakistain for its suspected proxy war tactics and encouragement for terrorism emphasizing that Pakistain is using Afghanistan as its combat zone for its war against India.

"The hard boyz who come to Afghanistan, do they come from Africa? Do they come from Mali or Nigeria? No. We know what these elements are; thousands of books have been written on the sanctuaries of terrorism. Unfortunately, one particular area has become a nursery for training terrorists. They are located in Pakistain and it is not a secret."

In response to Ambassador Sinha's remarks, the Embassy of Pakistain in Kabul released a statement rejecting, what they stated, as "baseless" accusations.

"We have noted with dismay the allegations from Indian Ambassador Amar Sinha maligning Pakistain...the interview was more focused on baseless and unfounded accusations against Pakistain rather than Indo-Afghan relations," the blurb stated.

In the media release, the Embassy of Pakistain states that using another country's "soil" to speak against a third party is not only diplomatic, but in efforts to create divisions between the neighbors.

"It is against diplomatic norms to use Afghan soil to speak against a third country and try to create a rift in Afghanistan's relations with its neighbors."
