| #3 this agency is a child of the Dodd-Frank Wall st reform and consumer protection act it has overlapping responsibilities with the SEC, Dept of Treasury, credit union administration, FDIC, Fin Industry Regulatory Authority and several others - if they limited themselves to putting out consumer advisories, they would be mildly useful, but that limited agenda doesn't allow for power, bigger budgets, etc. |
