#5 Flying your own plane requires a total commitment to keeping current and especially IFR current and practice. I do not know the entire story behind this accident, and it will take a year on so before NTSB completes its investigation and issues its report. If you are wealthy you can afford the top of the line aircraft, but training is a must, and if you do not commit to staying current and sharp, you can easily run out altitude, airspeed, and ideas all at once. |
