Officials: Bomb explodes in northeast Nigerian town, multiple casualties reported |

[FOXNEWS] Officials say a bomb went kaboom!near a drinking spot in the northeastern Nigerian town of Mubi, apparently causing multiple casualties. The kaboom Sunday evening came less than 48 hours after a letter purportedly from the Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... terrorist group threatened to attack a university in the town. A local official, Ahmad Gude, says security personnel were taking victims to the hospital, but he did not have an exact casualty figure. A resident, David Dauda, says the blast went off as people were leaving a football match nearby and he saw more than 30 bodies in the area. Mubi is in Adamawa state, one of three northern Nigerian states under a year-old emergency rule imposed by President ![]() ... 14th President of Nigeria. He was Governor of Bayelsa State from 9 December 2005 to 28 May 2007, and was sworn in as Vice President on 29 May 2007. Jonathan is a member of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP).
