BULOMARER -- Al-Shabaab executed three men in Buulomareer town on Thursday afternoon after they were accused of spying for the Somali government and Ethiopian intelligence agencies, Shabelle reports. An unnamed Al Shabaab officer said the three men were detained in massive operation that has been conducted in Qoryooley and Buulomareer town of lower Shabelle region.Eyewitness who asked to be unnamed told Shabelle Media in Mogadishu that the three accused were executed by firing squad after an al-Shabaab judge declared them guilty.
This is not the first time that Al Shabaab executes locals who were accused of spying Somali and Ethiopian intelligence agencies in lower Shabelle region.
