| Desert rescue beacons let immigrants call for help |

They have sun reflectors and blue lights At least they've been able to "re-purpose" K-Mart detritus. on top that are visible for 10 miles. The beacons have signs in three languages WTF - THREE - which ones? that direct users to push a red button that sends out a signal for help. During a nearly one-mile hike through a tree-covered area used by migrants, reporters encountered rough terrain, bushes coated in thorns and even a hissing rattlesnake Oh my!. I'm all for it as long as authorities take the unfortunates South after rescue. |

| #14 But I suppose the majority of them, vote Repuglican. The last statistic I saw was 75% Republican to 25% Democrat, Besoeker. But I can't remember which election that was, my memory having become rather porous over the years. |

| #12 They wouldn't take them South when I lived in Arizona. They'd take them to the hospital for treatment. Which they couldn't pay for. And the INS wouldn't come and get them, because if they did, the INS would be on the hook for their care. So they'd just walk out the door and leave. It was one of the many benefits they enjoyed being an illegal alien in the US - very, very free health care. Cost the hospital I was at many millions of dollars annually. But it's OK! They vote Democrat! Orion |
