Armed assailants killed various important officials from the Interim Jubba Administration this morning in Kismayo, the provincial capital city of the Lower Jubba region and the Somali refugee camp in Kenya’s Ifo town.According to residents in Kismayo, the gunmen shot dead the officials named Abdiaziz Bilal and Mohamed Hassan in the city. The security chief for the Afmadow district in the Lower Jubba region, known as Aadan, was brutally murdered at Ifo refugee camp in Kenya.
These latest murders follow the recent surge in killings of Interim Jubba Administration in their seat of their state, Kismayo. It was only yesterday when Abdirahman Qordhere, another high-ranking administration official was assassinated in Somalia’s port city of Kismayo.
Al-Shabaab, the Al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist cell, are believed to be responsible for the assassinations of the prominent figures from the Interim Jubba Administration in Kismayo and other towns of the Jubba regions.
