Palestinians: Israel Settlements Led To Peace Talks Impasse

[Ynet]
The latest crisis comes as Washington scrambles for a formula to allow the Paleostinians and Israelis to carry on the peace talks beyond an April 29 deadline. "Israel's settlement activity caused the negotiations to fail and led them to an impasse," Nabil Abu Rudeina, a front man for Paleostinian president the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas ... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial... , told AFP.

#3 Has Kerry discovered the golden rule yet? What about Arab settlements in Israel? I think there are said to be about 150,000 illegal Arab immigrants in Israel. The trouble really is that Arafat and Abbas came from the PLO which represents the "refugees" and not the people of the West Bank. Their interests are avoiding peace (and termination of UNRWA) at all costs. This is very costly to the people of the West Bank, but the refugees could not care less about them. (Some camp refugees are in the West Bank but most are in Gaza Jordan Lebanon and Syria) |
