[DAWN] THE Islamic world's power dynamics are undergoing possibly the most seismic shift in a generation. The House of Saud's dominance over global Moslem politics, an enduring, if calamitous, reality, appears to be abating. A divergence of interests between the Kingdom and other regional players has been gaining currency. Much has changed in the Moslem world since the public rift between Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor.
