2014-03-14 |
Gunmen thought to be Abu Sayyaf rebels have released the four people they abducted last March 3 in Sulu, a military official announced. Capt. Maria Rowena Muyuela said that the victims were freed at around 4 p.m. Wednesday at the circumferential road in Patikul, Sulu. Senior Supt. Abraham Orbito said the victims were seized last March 3 in front of a tailor's shop in Jolo, Sulu. They were kidnapped by seven armed men believed to be Abu Sayyaf militants dressed in tabligh attire who blocked their car. Troops from the 2nd Marine Brigade in coordination with the Sulu police force are tracking down the suspects behind the abduction of the four victims, Muyuela said. |
