Ukraine army on full alert as Russia backs sending troops

[BBC] Ukraine says it has put its army on full combat alert after Russia's parliament approved the deployment of Russian troops to Ukraine.

Acting President Olexander Turchynov said he had also stepped up security at key sites, including nuclear plants.

#1  They have maybe a battalion in the Crimea, so it's gone. But the rest of the Ukraine, especially east of the Dnieper river? That will be very hard fought if Putin chooses to go after it. Lots of casualties on both sides. And then there is the likelihood of partisan groups popping up all over the rear areas for the Russians. This could get ugly.
