Taliban, a "blatant" and "highly provocative" act of terrorism. "The martyrdom of security officials is a blatant act of terrorism. It's highly condemnable and provocative," a security official told Daily Times on condition of anonymity. In a letter posted on the social media, Mohmand Agency Taliban chief Umar Khalid Khurasani claimed late on Sunday that the soldiers had been slain to avenge what he called killing of their fighters in jug in several parts of the country. The security official rejected the claim by Taliban, termed the allegation unfounded and baseless. "The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain is just lying. No terrorist has been killed in the custody," the official said. He said the allegations by Taliban were part of a propaganda aimed at justifying the acts of terrorism. "It's a mere propaganda. They are trying to justify their dastardly acts of terrorism," the security official added. The much-hyped peace talks with Taliban broke down on Monday when the government negotiating team cancelled its scheduled meeting with Taliban negotiators in Akora Khattak following the execution of FC soldiers by terrorists. "It is a unanimous decision. I myself phoned Yousaf Shah and informed him that we are not coming," adviser to prime minister and coordinator of government committee Irfan Siddiqui told journalists.
