A New PeopleÂ’s Army militant commander has surrendered to the Philippine army in Bukidnon province in Northern Mindanao.Adaser dela Mansi, whose group operates in Malaybalay City surrendered to the 403rd Infantry Brigade. He yielded a rifle and ammunition when he surrendered after abandoning his unit.
Capt. Alberto Caber, a spokesman for Eastern Mindanao Command, said the militant leader is being interrogated by the army. He said more than 270 militants had surrendered last year in Eastern Mindanao.
