[Libya Herald] Two members of the General National Congress have denied that they have resigned in a development that has cast doubt on the validity of a list of 21 purported resignations circulating on social media.
Members of Congress for Murzuq ,Taher Mohammed Makni and Zainab Shetah Al-Hamidi, both of whose names appear on the list, strongly rejected reports of their resignations to the Libya Herald.
"I personally deny what has been reported on Facebook and other media about my resignation," Makni said, stating that he had never considered resigning from Congress. Hamidi also refuted the claims saying she had been surprised to see her name on the list. |
