| #5 Has Japan started the building process to produce their own "gun"? Yes. They 'classify' the Izumo and Hyuga as a DDH, a helicopter destroyer, escort vessel. Sort of another stretch of the term 'destroyer' associated with the old WWII models (something the Americans have been doing with de facto light cruisers). It would a reasonable deduction, based upon capabilities, that the Japanese could probably 'assemble' nuke devices in quick order, if they really felt necessary (as in the absence of a reliable ally). |

| #4 This brings up a scenario I have often thought about: If someone with a gun keeps saying that he is going to shoot you, and you don't have a gun of your own isn't it irresponsible NOT to arm yourself for the impending duel? Has Japan started the building process to produce their own "gun"? As pointed out, hope they're not counting on the Obamanation. |

| #2 Remember that same 'bright' people in the Beltway who talked about 'nation building' were the same strata of people who said engaging the Chinese economically (that is to ship American jobs to China and import with minimal constrain the output) would lessen the potential for conflict by integrating the economies. |
