| [DAWN] Deputy secretary National Assembly Moazzam Kalru was kidnapped near the suburbs of Multan on Saturday, DawnNews reported. According to the police, Kalru was kidnapped from Multan's Nawabpur area when he was en route by car to his farmhouse. Two days earlier, he had arrived from Islamabad. Police said the deputy secretary was returning from his mango farm in Sandilian when four gunnies on a cycle of violence and in a car kidnapped him. Following the incident, police blocked the area and a search operation went underway. Police sources said Kalru's cell phone activity was last detected in the vicinity of Multan's Umerkot area.
