[Egypt Independent] Dozens of pro-Moslem Brüderbund students at Cairo University blocked Tharwat street on Friday to protest the arrest of their colleagues during festivities with police a day earlier. Students pelted rocks at police, who used tear gas to disperse them.
"The situation on campus required the interference of security forces in order to prevent the escalation of events due to the Brotherhood students' violence," the statement said. "Security forces had to impose control to ensure the continuing of exams."
Dozens of pro-MB students performed funeral prayers at Cairo University's mosque after on Friday for colleagues who were killed in recent festivities.
According to the Health Ministry, a student was shot and killed during festivities that erupted between students and police on campus on Thursday.
