| #9 Grom, Well....one could make the argument that China wasn't a truly unified nation until Mao took over. You had some combinations of provinces that were stronger and more unified than others but even under the Emperors, control could be a dodgy thing the farther you got from the Forbidden City. National control at the level China needs wasn't possible until the advent of modern communications technologies. Mike |

IOW: weakness invites aggression. Obummer squanders our money on corporate bailouts, crony capitalism, a fool's errand in Afghanistan and healthcare for derelicts while the Chinese build up their military and threaten their neighbors. |

Again, there is no sign that China is willing to give up, delay, andor amend its "post-US" agenda.
