A land mine explosion which is believed to have caused severe damage occurred between Janale and Bufow districts located in the lower Shabelle region of Somalia, shabelle radio reports. One vehicle is believed to have been damaged by the explosion which was deafening but the exact number of casualties is yet to be established.Another convey of AMISOM troops arrived at the scene moments after the explosion closing the main roads connecting between the two districts.
Motorists are still stranded as the peace keeping troops are conducting a thorough search for the culprits behind the attack.
