Benghazi colonel killed |

[Libya Herald] Another senior military officer has ben killed in Benghazi. Colonel Ahmed Fathi Suweri, who worked at the army's data office, was killed in a drive-by shooting in the city's Birkah district this morning. According to a front man for Benghazi Joint Security Room, Suweri was rushed to Benghazi Medical Centre after being shot in a hail of bullets but died there of his injuries. The Libyan news agency LANA quoted friends of the dead man saying that he was known for his integrity and professionalism and that Benghazi lost one of its best officers. |
