| Car Bomb Rocks Ain el-Hilweh Overnight |

| [An Nahar] A boom-mobile rocked the Paleostinian refugee camp of Ein el-Hellhole overnight on Wednesday, reported Voice of Leb radio (93.3). It said that the kaboom went off shortly after midnight in the Taamir neighborhood of the camp that is located near the southern city of Sidon. The army has since cordoned off the area and launched an investigation in the incident. VDL later identified the driver of the silver Mercedes as Mohammed Sobhi al-Baltaji, a supporter of Salafist holy man Sheikh Ahmed al-Asir ...Leb Salafist holy man with the usual grouch against Shiites. Currently on the run, he seems intent on reigniting the Leb civil war... . The National News Agency later said that only material damage was incurred in the blast, including damage to the car and surrounding area. Asir, a 45-year-old holy man is wanted by the Lebanese authorities for festivities his supporters waged against the army in Sidon's Abra region in June. Eighteen soldiers were killed and 20 others were maimed in the fighting. Twenty of Asir's gunnies were also killed in the unrest. |
