Four villagers gunned down in southern Thailand |

After suspected terrorists insurgents gunned down four villagers on Tuesday in Pattani province, police and local authorities yesterday continued to search for a missing villager who fled into a swamp. Four suspected Four villagers ran into the mangrove forest before being killed. The fifth man is still missing. Police said the attackers dragged the bodies of the dead victims onto the road before fleeing with their truck. Police suspected the attack was a part of the ongoing insurgency in the region. Pattani Governor Wittaya Panichpong called an urgent meeting and instructed village leaders and local residents near the scene of the attack to help locate the missing man.
