| #3 I for one believe he was poisoned. I don't think the Israelis did it, they are more subtle than that. The only way the Israelis are going to get the Paleos off their backs on this is to join the investigation and find out who did it. I personally think it was Hezbollah and the Iranians. They had the most to gain in the region by ending Arafat's control over the various squabbling factions in the Palestinian areas. With him out of the way, the Iranians could gain traction by promoting the feuding and fragmenting Arafat's allies so they could fill the power vacuum. Simple. Always ask "Who had the most to gain with Arafat's death?" Definitely not the Israelis. They knew any action against Arafat would inflame the region to their detriment and they knew Arafat was keeping a lid on some of the really crazy ones that Iran is supporting now. |
