Boehner shocked as family health deductible triples.
2013-11-27
[Wash Times] Add to the list of the millions of Americans who are expected to receive a massive price increase from Obamacare: House Speaker John A. Boehner.
Something to really cry about now.
The Ohio Republican RINO said he’s just learned from HealthCare.gov that his deductible will triple — and his new premium will be nearly twice the current price, Fox News reported.
How about forgetting about yours, and "learning" about OURS ?
Here is the bottom line,” said a spokesman for Mr. Boehner on Fox News. “Before Obamacare, through the program for all federal employees, the Boehners’ monthly premiums totaled $433 with a $700 deductible.”
As a congressman, I'd be ashamed to even mention it, but of course they know no shame.
But under the new health care plan, costs soar.
But only for those trying to work for a living. Everyone else's is free, just like the fone, housing, and EBT card.
“Now, the Boehners will pay around $800 per month, with deductibles somewhere near $2,000,” the spokesman said. “Of course, the speaker and Mrs. Boehner are fortunate enough to be able to afford these higher costs. They’re not asking anyone to feel sorry for them. We stress that.”
I "feel sorry" for him, but for other reasons.
The speaker’s office gave out the information only in response to an inquiry from Fox News, “for the sake of transparency,” the spokesman said.
See, we're just like all of you little people out there.

#11  Take it from the natives, mister boner. Cheaper to see a horse doctor. Since doctors are retiring in droves, horse doctors will default as the smarter bunch.

#10  Exchange deductibles for a family plan are 3x that. I think all DC employee benefits should be means tested above the US median income. Sound fair?

#9  Hmm, for a crème de la crème health care plan, $433 a month with a $700 deductible is about what I was paying the last time I had health insurance provided by an employer.

$800 a month and a $2000 deductible? I can only imagine what some families in California, Massachusetts, and New York are going to be paying.

ObumbleCare is a massive Ponzi scheme. People who don't want or don't need health care are paying for a lot of mandated coverages to cover the losses on those who have illnesses covered by the mandates.

So if you are single, male, and in perfect health, the contraception, abortion, OB/Gyn, nursing home, pediatric, and geriatric premiums are going to pay for someone else's treatment.

The problem is the massive wealth transfer is not working. The money goes from the middle class to the poor and then to the wealthy oligarchy of physicians who seem to want to bleed this country dry.

#8  I thought Congress was going to keep their pre-Obamacare, cream-of-the-crop plan?

#7  If this is really news to him, then he must be getting most of his news from WaPo, NYT and the like. Anyone who pays attention to any source which is not state run propaganda knew this was coming since before ObamaCare was even passed.

So, either he's lying, or he's an idiot and a tool. Probably both.

#6  As republican stock slowly and cautiously begins to rise, strange that Boehner and McConnell appear helpless to exploit the opportunity. Or perhaps, not so strange after all. :-(

#5  The truth won't stop the media from blaming it on the Republicans JohnQC - or the sheeple from swallowing every word of it as gospel.
After all they pretty much successfully blamed the housing bubble on the republicans even when the democrats controlled both houses.

#4  That's what comes from legislation that is passed without reading. Of course, this turd (Obamacare) falls on Pelosi's plate. When this was passed, the Dems had control of the Presidency and both houses. Good thing to remember at the voting booth next time--payback time.

#2  That is what happens when you are a wuss and don't lead. NOTHING he has done right was not accomplished by railing on him to do the right thing. And he is the Speaker of the House. No leadership. None at all.

#1  He is the POS that folded and went against the Tea Party. He is getting what he deserves. If he would have stood his ground instead of being a woos he might not be in this position. But then the PACs will pick up his tab.
