[An Nahar] A Sunni Arab politician was kidnapped by Islamist fighters during festivities with members of his pro-regime tribe in Syria's eastern province of Deir Ezzor, a monitoring group reported Monday.Fighters from the Ahrar al-Sham rebel group and jihadists from the al-Qaeda-affiliated Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) kidnapped MP Mohanna Faisal al-Fayyad on Sunday evening, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
The abduction, the Britannia-based Observatory said, followed two days of festivities between members of Fayyad's tribe, which supports the regime of Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir
