| Heavy blasts occur in Jowhar town |

| [Shabelle] news from Jowhar town in the middle Shabelle region report that a loud blast was heard at the entire town and its surrounding in the early hours of Wednesday evening. The residents add that the loud blast was followed by a heavy gunfire which is believed to be opened by military troops who were on a patrolling mission when the incident occurred. The town has suffered from planned attacks by unknown gunmen believed to be the opposing Alshabab fighters. |
