Counterfeit Notes Worth USD 900,000 Confiscated in Nabatieh |

[An Nahar] Members of the General Security Directorate in the southern province of Nabatieh raided a shop where currency counterfeit operations were taking place in the city and juggedDon't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out! its owner. "Real bills worth USD 100,000 and counterfeit notes estimated at USD 900,000 were confiscated," the state-run National News Agency detailed. "The forces also confiscated instruments used for forging the bills." The NNA pointed out: "Financial Prosecutor in Nabatieh Judge Ali Ibrahim ordered the raid and it was supervised by the chief of the General Security's Nabatieh dept., Captain Ali Halawi." The shop's owner, M.J. Hoballah, was referred along with the confiscated items to the General Prosecution, according to the same source. |
