| Three civilians gunned down in southern Thailand |

| [Bangkok Post] Three civilians were killed in two separate drive-by shootings by suspected The first attack happened in Narathiwat at 5:30 p.m., when construction contractor Rawree Mama was gunned down after he stopped his truck to drop off two of his employees. A pickup truck carrying a group of gunmen stopped next to Mr Rawree and fired about a dozen shots, hitting him twice in the head and killing him instantly. One of Mr Rawree's employees narrowly escaped death, suffering gunshot wounds to his chest and shoulder. The second attack was carried out at 6 p.m. in Pattani. Ma-air Sama-air was heading home by motorcycle with his wife on a village road when they were followed by two men on another motorcycle. The pillion rider opened fire on them killing Ma-air on the spot and seriously wounding his wife. She was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries. Police blame southern |
