| Stop fuelling clan clashes in Juba regions-demands MP |

| [Shabelle] federal government's security committee has warned individuals and politicians that are fuelling clan festivities in the lower Juba region of Somalia. Dahir Amin Jesow who is the chairman of the committee said that some politicians who held positions in the former transitional government and other individuals were planning the festivities between clans who reside from the region. The politician warned that if the trouble makers continue,the situation will deteriorate and more lives lost if festivities occur again. "In the Juba regions, there is no administration called Juba land and the people who are claiming the name consist of men who are based in foreign countries, fuelling hatred between the clans" said Mr. Jesow. The chairman's warning comes days after the former prime minister of Somalia and other politicians made public accusations against the current government. |
