| Sen. Mary Landrieu's son arrested on DWI, hit-and-run charges |

| [NOLA] Frank "Connor" Snellings, 21, the son of U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., was jugged ... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not... Thursday morning on charges of driving while intoxicated, hit-and-run driving, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street in the French Quarter, according to the Orleans Gay Pareeh Sheriff's Office. The car Snellings was driving hit a pedestrian, who was not seriously injured, according to the sheriff's report. Snellings and a passenger in his car were not hurt. "We love our son wholeheartedly, but we are extremely disappointed by his irresponsible actions last night," Sen. Landrieu said Thursday in a phone interview. "These actions have serious consequences both at home and in our legal system." |

| #2 IIRC Snellings' cousin, son of Mayor Mitch Landrieu, got busted for DWI last year. Never heard anything more of it, after the arrest. |

| #1 So even tho this story involves a Democratic Senator, booze an auto accident and leaving the scene, it doesn't count because the passenger survived and no bridges or Oldsmobiles were harmed in the making of this incident. (USN,Ret. using a travelnym) |
