| #2 Seems like time to order more popcorn. Let them bleed one another dry. Then have a weakened Assad retain power. Not a great outcome, but it seems a preferable one to have hard core salafists in power. |

| #1 AW, the plot thickens. Now Turkey also is having difficulties. Obama the great ditherer and the resulting actions. Russia wants greater influence. That influence is in Russia's best interest in Putin's mind. I wounder what China is doing. I know they want oil. They seem to be cozy with Iraq that way now. |
