#6 Keep in mind that surveys say that 90% of Egyptians are strong supporters of women's mutilations, of exterminating the real Egyptians, the Copts and for making Sharia the absolute law, much more strict that Saudia. |

#4 After filling, if no water is diverted, Egypt will be back where it was Last I checked, Egypt is in DIRE straits, and can ill afford any more losses, even those related to simply filling an upstream dam. Maybe a few extra billion $ in international aid is called for. |

#3 There may lie the compromise. It can be filled more slowly, perhaps. After filling, if no water is diverted, Egypt will be back where it was, no loss. Ethiopia can allow dam output to ramp up. |

#2 filling the dam will take a years flow of the Blue Nile, which is 85% of the Niles total flow. I'm not surprised Egypt is panicking. |

#1 No one from the Ethiopian government was immediately available to comment. No they were not available as they were trying to get the right diplomatic language together to say "F0CK YOU and the Camel you rode in on" in Egyptian Arabic. |
