Man dead in suspected Woolwich terror attack

A man has died and two are injured after police responded to a reported machete attack in south-east London.

The government is reported to be treating the attack as a suspected terrorist incident and the prime minister said it was "truly shocking".

Eyewitnesses said a man was assaulted in a Woolwich street by two individuals who were later shot by officers.

Local MP Nick Raynsford said the dead man was a soldier at Woolwich barracks but this has not been confirmed.

Home Secretary Theresa May has summoned a meeting of the government's emergency response committee Cobra to assess the incident.

It is understood she has also requested updates from the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Bernard Hogan-Howe, and the head of MI5.

Whitehall sources have told the BBC it is "a fair supposition" that the incident was a terrorist incident but police have not commented publicly on the suggestion.

BBC political editor Nick Robinson said the police view is that the attack may have been filmed and footage may exist.

People carrying out the attack were heard to say Allahu Akbar [God is Great], said our political editor.

On Twitter, the Mayor of London Boris Johnson described the attack as a "sickening deluded and unforgivable act of violence".

The "ruling elite" - who of course have armed protection - purposely brought these murderous bastards to the country to prove to themselves how tolerant and PC they are compared to the peasants, and took away the ability (and legality) for the peasants to defend themselves against said murdering bastards.

Mr. Cameron, it you really don't believe people should be able to defend themselves (and their fellow citizens) against a murder in broad daylight, then YOU give up your guards (who have guns, of course) as well. You're no better than the average citizen. You just think you're special.

And maybe someone should ask Piers Morgan (piss be upon him) how getting rid of the guns and right to self-defense is working out for his fellow British citizens (as he sits here instead of there and pontificates). >:-(

Who let these foks into this Green and Pleasant Land? England is truly a lovely place to be, based in the Southern country-side, narry a Moslem in sight, apart from the shoppes with ca$h-flow green-lights, and there they are everywhere.

Say WHAT?

Let them come here, set up, employ only their own, coin some bucks and then let them start killing us randomly??? Not any more, oh, china, oh no, matey, oh no, no more. Enough is enough.

This is going to have a huge implication . As Besoeker said, deport them all. What we will get is nothing on the News, apart from Cameron, et al, whitewashing what everyone now knows.

However, my personal opinion is that this is going to ignite some heavy stuff when the English stop fighting each other and unite, and that may well be happening this very evening.

Islam to be finally shown the door, they are not wanted here.

Johnson's response will be pretty in tune with public opinion, but Cameron doesn't do himself any favours with a limp-wristed "truly shocking". This sort of thing is only 'shocking' if you've spent the past few years ignoring Muslim depravity the world over; the Prime Minister must know better. Most Brits no doubt would want to see the sick morons responsible die painfully for this.
