[Ynet] Egyptian coppers blocked the crossing into the Gazoo Strip on Friday to protest against the kidnapping of Egyptian security forces in the Sinai, witnesses and sources said. Locals said police had placed barbed wire across the entrance to the border and closed the gates with chains, leaving hundreds of Paleostinians stranded on both sides of the fence.Islamist gunnies kidnapped seven Egyptian security forces on Thursday and have demanded the release of imprisoned forces of Evil in exchange for the men. Three of those kidnapped have worked at the Rafah crossing, sources said.

Hamas senior member Mahmoud a-Zahar posted on Facebook a call to Egyptian authorities to reopen the Rafah Crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt as soon as possible, after it was closed earlier on Friday.
According to him, Egypt must intervene quickly and "end the suffering of hundreds of Palestinian commuters stuck on both sides of the crossing."
