Three bombs hurt no one in southern Thailand |

![]() Two bombs exploded in Muang district just before dawn, one outside a department store and the other at an automobile showroom. Police received a call at 4:40 a.m. that a bomb had been set off in front of the department store. An Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) team was sent, and found the bomb had exploded in a trash bin at the store entrance. While investigating the scene, the team found a possible second bomb at the stairs of the auto showroom about 200 meters from the department store. The team backed away and tried to remove the bomb with a hook, but it exploded during the retrieval process. The third bombing took place behind a kindergarten on Thursday morning in Yaring district. At about 7:30 a.m. when the home-made bomb, planted in front of a tree on a road behind the kindergarten, was detonated as a police patrol vehicle was passing by. The blast shattered the vehicle's windshield and left a hole in the road. The three policemen who were in the vehicle were not hurt.
