Saudi Arabia 'warned the United States IN WRITING about Boston Bomber in 2012 |
2013-05-01 |
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sent a written warning about accused Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2012, long before pressure-cooker blasts killed three and injured hundreds, according to a senior Saudi government official with direct knowledge of the document. The Saudi warning, the official told MailOnline, was separate from the multiple red flags raised by Russian intelligence in 2011, and was based on human intelligence developed independently in Yemen. Citing security concerns, the Saudi government also denied an entry visa to the elder Tsarnaev brother in December 2011, when he hoped to make a pilgrimage to Mecca, the source said. Tsarnaev's plans to visit Saudi Arabia have not been previously disclosed. |

#9 The difference between the Magic Kingdom, Russia, and the current US administration is that the former two do not treat "threats to the State" solely as judicial matters. Aside from the NYPD, there aren't many law enforcement bodies that assign assets to actively identify and continuously monitor threats. |

#8 Holy cow, is the Jamie Gorelick wall back in place? Now there is an example of incompetence. She writes the memo forbidding the CIA and FBI to share intell, THEN the dems sit her on the 9/11 panel to investigate the disaster she helped cause and then she gets appointed to Freddie Mac and makes a butt load of money demolishing our housing market. Geez Louise, we should put that cow in Gitmo for what she's done to the US. Fits every definition of terrorism I know. |

#7 Instead didn't the person who came up with Visa Express program get a big fat bonus and promotion? Reward bad behavior and you get more of it. |

#6 Exactly P2k. The Wilson bridge rail should have been lined ear-to-ear with the heads of US Intelligence and the FBI after 9/11. |

#5 Was this the "wrong" sort of Islam or did the Saudis trust Lord Sunset to ignore them? |

#4 You know, history indicates that when you actually hold people accountable for failure, future performance of successors tends to tic up. How many were fired after 9/11? encouragement d'auteurs! |

#2 Most interesting. Not only do we now have a second foreign sources providing warnings on Tsarnaev, we may even have a Saudi Intelligence Agency (al-Istikhbarat) agent injured in the Boston blast. With the exception of the Dallas Cowboys connection which may be revealed soon, the pieces are coming together. Thank you Tipper. |

#1 Obama needs to go. Gross incompetence. Dereliction of duty. Benghazi. Pigford. Fast and Furious / Gunwalker. Tamerlan-gate. Obama is a Domestic enemy of the US Constitution. He should be thrown out in disgrace - if not put before a firing squad. |
