Activists threaten massive protests over Keystone XL
2013-04-24
[CHRON] Environmentalists opposed to the Keystone XL pipeline are pledging to turn up the heat on President Barack Obama
Ready to Rule from Day One...
by risking arrest through acts of civil disobedience at fundraisers, political meetings and federal agency offices.

The planned protests are designed to build political pressure as Obama nears a final decision on the project. They illustrate the political challenge facing Obama, who risks alienating at least one key Democratic base - environmentalists or labor unions - no matter what he decides.

Becky Bond, the political director of the progressive group CREDO, which is organizing the threatened protests, says environmentalists will hold Obama accountable.

"We see it as being incumbent upon us as citizens to send a message that the president cannot ignore," Bond told news hounds during a conference call Monday.

#3  Tell the protesters that if they are really serious about global warming to start walking or riding horses everywhere, disconnect from the internet, turn off the gas for heat, turn off the electricity and start growing veggies in their Zen garden.

Oh and start killing small animals to eat instead of all of those methane producing cows.

Or start eating only raw veggies grown with cow manure...oops....horse manure.

These morons have no concept of the end results of what they request.

#2  So 12 is massive now?

With careful framing and some low-angle shots, a skilled photographer can make 12 look like a whole mob. Watch the news and see.
