CAPTURED – 2nd Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect Caught In Watertown
2013-04-19
WATERTOWN (CBS) – A flurry of applause at the scene of a standoff between police and Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev signaled his capture Friday night.

After a nearly two-hour standoff in a Watertown neighborhood, Tsarnaev was taken from the scene by ambulance to Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge.

A Tweet by Boston police minutes later said it best:

CAPTURED!!! The hunt is over. The search is done. The terror is over. And justice has won. Suspect in custody.—
Boston Police Dept. (@Boston_Police) April 20, 2013

The standoff began just before 7 p.m., minutes after Massachusetts State Police announced that they had completed their door-to-door search in Watertown without locating Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

#11  FBI: Bombing suspect interviewed in 2011
Agents interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011 at the request of a foreign government that suspected he might have ties to extremist groups, the FBI official said.

The official declined to name the foreign government, but said the FBI took a number of investigative steps to check on the request, including interviewing Tsarnaev, looking at his travel history, checking databases for derogatory information and searching for Web postings.

Ultimately, no derogatory information was found and the matter was concluded, the FBI official said. The foreign government was told nothing was found and didn't make any additional requests, the FBI official said.

The officials said the FBI has not connected the Tsarnaev brothers to any terror groups here or aboard.

#8  He's in serious condition at hospital but alive.

As per FREEREPUBLIC, there seems to be an on-going Twitter debate [Twitter-gate] between NBC News + CBS News on whether he was read his Miranda Rights.

US CITIZENSHIP VERSUS "PIBLIC SAFETY EXCEPTION" > IMO read, DHS + CIA, etc. Feds wanna question Dzhokhar - maybe even to Gitmo him???

* BREAKING NEWS > NEW YORK TIMES = US is investigating whether older Bro Tamerlan met wid Extremists while on visit to Russia last year.

Tsarnaev family claims Tamerlan had been watched + followed by the FBI for past three years.

#4  Said in other thread, Miranda rights were read. He is a U.S. Citizen since last fall. That being said, I'm glad he's alive and hope he stays that way. I want to know the info he has.

If he doesn't have ANY, that's a sure sign we're talking about a cell.
