It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... According to DawnNews, a raid was carried out by the Rangers personnel in Laasi Goth where Naimatullah, a Taliban capo was apprehended. During the operation, Naimatullah and two Rangers personnel were maimed. The Taliban capo later departed this vale of tears during treatment. Earlier, in another search operation in Sohrab Goth, 24 members of various banned organizations were apprehended by the Rangers. A cache of arms was also seized during the raid. In another raid conducted in Sikandar Goth, a torture cell was unearthed by the police. During door-to-door search, fifteen men were arrested and arms were recovered from their possession. |
