{MAGHAREBIA] With news that the United Nations (UN) will soon deploy a mission to northern Mali, Arab and Touareg refugees currently living in Mauritania, Algeria and Niger are now hopeful that they could soon return home.The Friends of Mali on Sunday (March 17th) held a meeting in Nouakchott to discuss the option of sending troops to northern Mali under the UN umbrella before April.
The deployment of a peacekeeping mission is the best way to consolidate stability in Mali's northern regions, according to the country's neighbours and regional African organisations.
