| [An Nahar] An kaboom shook the area near the Dama Rose hotel in the heart of the Syrian capital on Sunday, wounding 11 civilians, state media reported. "An kaboom caused by cut-throats went off near to the Dama Rose hotel and the union federation, which left a number of people maimed and causing damage to the area," Syrian TV said, using the regime's term for armed rebels. State news agency SANA said the blast maimed 11 people, adding that the explosive "planted by terrorists" weighed about 50 kilos (30 pounds).
