[Dawn] The Punjab counter-terrorism department has recommended to the provincial government that proscribed organizations found collecting hides during Eidul Azha should be booked under the anti-terrorism law. In a letter to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Haji Habibur Rehman on October 6, a copy of which was also sent to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the chief of the counter-terrorism department, AIG Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera, referred to the ineffective enforcement of a ban on collection of hides by the outlawed outfits for the last many years. |
