Obama Campaign Tries To Spin Biden's Bizarre Debate Behavior
2012-10-13
[Breitbart] The Obama campaign is struggling to respond to mounting criticism of Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden's
The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body...
bizarre behavior during last night's debate with Rep. Paul Ryan.
...U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 1st congressional district, serving since 1999. He is a member of the Republican Party. He proposed an alternative to President B.O.'s 2011 budget and made himself the target of both Democrat and Republican verbal pies...

Biden not only interrupted Ryan frequently--82 times, according to Republican National Committee chair Reince Priebus--but frequently laughed, smirked, and snorted at serious moments, showing contempt for his opponent and disturbing even friendly observers.

A CNN poll conducted after the debate, which handed Ryan a narrow 48%-44% victory, also showed that Ryan had beaten Biden by an even wider margin when it came to "likeability." Viewers in the poll--with an admittedly small sample-- also said Ryan "expressed his views more clearly," "was more in touch with the needs and problems of people like you," and "did a better job of defending his running mate."

The only category in which Biden defeated Ryan? "Spent more time attacking his opponent."

Amidst mounting criticism, the Obama campaign has tried to push back. Obama's campaign manager, Jim Messina, claimed that Biden was "a happy warrior." Biden may have been trying to compensate for Obama's perceived passivity in last week's debate. He may also have been trying to cover gaps in his own argument--he referred to Obama by name only once, and told several characteristic untruths when pressed on the B.O. regime's record. But Biden's interjections and body language left a lasting impression with voters.

Women, in particular, seem to have reacted negatively. Writer Mollie Hemingway thought that Biden had done well but remarked: "Tonight, Joe Biden is embodying everything that women hate about talking with men."

She later added: "I'm even willing to give this debate to Biden, in the very short term. But in the long term, I bet he lost it. Think about what will stay with people after the debate. They'll remember a rude, interrupting man."

#10  I have to disagree, Ken.

The way Biden acted was perfectly "normal" - for Biden.

For actual normal people, not so much.

#9  Is the man we saw in the debate (Joe Biden) the man we really want with his finger on the button? After seeing the debate, I have to wonder if Joe forgot to take his medications that morning. Either that, or he overdosed on something. He certainly was not acting "normal".

#8  whoever is the Debate advisor for the Dems is probably looking at a short career window now. Everything is prepped - but in this case not nearly well enough :-)

#7  Cheney was interviewed regarding Biden's behavior. Cheney basically said that Biden's has always been rude, loud, had goofy mannerisms, and been disruptive and interrupted meetings--your typical democrat.

#6  I'd guess O introduced Joe to O's favorite method of relaxation.

#5  The vice president has survived two craniotomies to remove brain aneurysms.

Methinks that, in keeping with usual protocols, an amount of undamaged tissue was removed from around the affected areas. In Joe's case, lots and lots of undamaged (and unused) tissue.......

#4  One simple phrase explains it; he's a royal cock-up of the first order, and he sit's a breath away from being POTUS.

#3  More on Joe here . Look this Joe Biden is "off the wall" and so has the Obama Administration been since the beginning in 2009. The link from FOX News only supports the premise, so MODS please don't take the link down.

We are pretty laissez faire here, Spineck Shock9595, trusting our posters to be adult enough for going on with. Even those who have not legally attained that state. We take down links that we deem inappropriate for a family site, spam, or threatening violence to residents of the U.S. or other nice people. Former Vice President Cheney, however, is always appropriate, I think.

CIRCA AUGUST 2 2011 - "Count Vice President Biden among those excited to see Rep. Gabrielle Giffords at the U.S. Capitol yesterday.

Biden, who got advance notice from Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi that Giffords would show up, said the Arizona Democrat called him "Joe" when she saw him.

"I said, 'Now we're both members of the Cracked Head Club,' " Biden is quoted as saying in The Boston Globe.

Giffords was shot in the head Jan. 8 in a rampage during one of her constituent events in Tucson. Six people died.

The vice president has survived two craniotomies to remove brain aneurysms. His comment to Giffords yesterday was reported by The Washington Post, ABC News and others."

Poster's Comment:
Biden may have "survived", but I can see there were "complications" from his recent debate behavior.
He should thank God he was able to marry an MD after the death of his first wife and daughter, whom he mentioned in the debate. (Was it generic to our circumstances today ? I think not)

Joe Biden, a heart beat away from becoming the President of the United States of America. I know it is time for Obama and Biden to go. Have heart and determination, vote these two people out on November 6th. I think the majority of us have had enough of this (Fill-in-Here)
