Biden: 'Yes, We Do' Want to Raise Taxes By a Trillion Dollars

"On top of the trillions of dollars of spending that we have already cut, we're gonna ask -- yes -- we're gonna ask the wealthy to pay more," said Biden. "My heart breaks, come on man. You know the phrase they always use? Obama and Biden want to raise taxes by a trillion dollars. Guess what? Yes we do in one regard. We want to let that trillion dollar tax cut expire so the middle class doesn't have to bear the burden of all that money going to the super wealthy. That's not a tax raise, that's called fairness where I come from."

#17 I wish one Repub would say to this moron - "okay, Mr. Biden - you're gonna ask the wealthy to pay more for what exactly? If you tax the top-1% more (or anyone else for that matter) what are you going to do w/that money? Are you going to pay down the deficit w/that money? What exactly do you think the middle class will endure? We'd like to see your plan for "all that money". BTW - This is not Sherwood Forest and the wealthy in this country are not the Sheriff of Nottingham and you Sir are no Robin Hood. Taking money from people who earned it in the guise of "fairness" is called theft where I come from."

No, that's not quite it. The Dems are the party that believes the state has first call on all labor and all wealth. That is why they view taking less out of your paycheck as a COST to government. That's why they were shocked at the reaction to "you didn't build that".

Bluntly, to the Dems, you are the state's chattel, and anything they let you keep is as a favor.

#10 I do not believe the "Joe is a secret patriot" story. First, he is a liberal Democrat. As such he must be presumed innocent of any patriotism until proven guilty.

Second, he is an idiot. So I don't want to credit him with some secret master plan.

What I will believe is that the Obama people have been treating Biden like an idiot step child for the last 4 years. That works on many levels. And Joe is a small, bitter man who knows this is it for him. He will never be president. So his choices are 4 more years with Obama or take the bastard out with him.

Socialism works until it runs out of other people's money. Taking money from one who works and giving it to another who does not want to work is immoral.
