In djinn-infested Mosul in north Iraq, two soldiers were killed in an attack on an army checkpoint, while a man was rubbed out in front of his house in the city, army First Lieutenant Khaled Falayih and Dr. Tareq al-Nuaimi said. And a provincial council security official was rubbed out in western Storied Baghdad, an interior ministry official and a medical source said. Violence in Iraq is down from its peak in 2006 and 2007, but attacks are still near-daily occurrences. |
