Ongoing festivities between security forces and protesters at the US embassy in Cairo, Egypt has left two dead, according to official investigations. Up until late Friday only one person was believed to have died. Investigators still don't know the identity of those who were killed nor the cause of their deaths. The results of the forensic reports are being awaited to announce the cause of their death.
Earlier, however, Al Ahram Arabic-language newspaper reported that 35-year-old Ismail Rashad was killed by bird-shot fired during Friday's festivities.
Clashes that began on Wednesday have so far left over 220 injured and seen over 262 arrests. Friday's injured were transferred to Qasr Al-Eini Hospital and all, except for three, were later discharged.
Saturday morning witnessed a crackdown by security forces on Tahrir Square, putting an end to festivities and leaving the square empty of protesters and even street vendors.
