Somalia imposes curfew in Afgoye |

(Sh. M. Network)--Somali government authorities imposed on Monday a night-time curfew on former rebel-held Afgoye town, just 30Km away from south of Mogadishu city, reports say. Abdullah Abdi Ahmed, DC said the curfew came into effect on Monday nigh, after in cars with microphones erupted into the streets, ordering locals to desert from their business centres, public gatherings in the town around the time of evening prayers 7:00pm- a move that the government wants to defend Al shabab from the attacking the district. According to the residents, the decision which affected the locals was taken by Somali government following the latest attacks on army base in the district by Al shabab orcs. |
