Sources said that a group of hard boyz attacked a checkpost in Masozai with heavy weapons and injured two coppers. Security forces killed eight hard boyz and injured several others in retaliatory action, they added.The injured coppers were taken to a hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger.
In Khyber Agency, two members of a banned thug outfit were killed in a remote controlled kaboom in Bazaar-Zakhakhel area on Monday.
Sources said that two members of Bara-based Lashkar-e-Islam were trying to enter a bunker of their rival group Tawheedul Islam when the bomb planted near the bunker went off and killed both of them on the spot.
In Bara, security forces seized huge quantity of opium and hashish during raids on private warehouses in Alam Gudar area. No arrests were, however, made as nobody was present at the warehouses during the raids. The contraband was shifted to nearby FC camp.
