Authorities in southern Spain have arrested three suspected al-Qaeda members in possession of explosives and poison. The suspects are reported to include a Chechen and a Turk. Police think at least one of those arrested may have attended training camps in Pakistan. They were arrested in La Linea de la Concepcion and Valdepenas. The three are believed to have been planning an attack in Spain. Spain's Interior Minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz is expected to give details soon.
Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula had sent out a message at the beginning of July looking for Spanish-speaking "lone wolves" as operatives, according to El Pais.
